The Lincoln Park Memorial Day Parade Committee is pleased to announce the return of our City’s signature parade.
Please join us “In Honor of ALL Fallen Soldiers” on May 19, 10am, as we honor and remember those in uniform who paid the ultimate price. Immediately following the parade there will be an honor guard and military ceremonies at Memorial Park, please join us for the full celebration.
Congressman John D. Dingell honors the City by serving as our Parade Grand Marshall. Our goal has been to bring back a good old-fashioned small-town Memorial day parade. Many volunteers and sponsors have given of the time, talents, skills and treasure to make the revitalized parade a reality.
The main parade route will be on North bound Fort street, starting at White street and marching down to Memorial park and ending at Merryl street. The parade committee would like to thank the VFW Post 552 and the American Legion Post 67, for sponsoring the parade and being involved with the planning since November.

The next scheduled another National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day will take place on Saturday, April 27, 2013, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This is a great opportunity for those who missed the previous events, or who have subsequently accumulated unwanted, unused prescription drugs, to safely dispose of those medications.
The Lincoln Park Police Department located at 1427 Cleophus will serve as a drop off location during those hours.
In the four previous Take-Back events, DEA in conjunction with partner organizations have collected more than 2 million pounds (1,018 tons) of prescription medications were removed from circulation.
